Reddit user OhhhBoyyyyy recently shared a video of their Valheim seed in which they are standing in front of a Thor’s Hammer replica that is so large it blocks out the light shining through the clouds above. While players are exploring the expansive map of Valheim, they’re doing so in the realm of Valhalla, which relates to the Norse God of Thunder as his father Odin leads the mythological location. Although Odin may be teased in Valheim through the helpful Raven that comes to players with tips and tricks to surviving the dangerous realm, and Valkyries are represented in the first moments of the game, Thor is unrepresented beyond creations like OhhhBoyyyyy’s.

OhhhBoyyyyy’s Valheim video showing off their version of Thor’s Hammer begins with the player facing one side of the hammer to show the runes engraving the head of the hammer, and the long wooden handle includes some Norse runes as well. The player goes around Mjolnir before floating up to the object in order to highlight the crater that may have been created by such an enormous object crashing into the land of Valheim. OhhhBoyyyyy’s Thor’s Hammer is notably made of Valheim materials like wood, stone, metal, and uniquely utilized items like statues and flags.
There are glowing blue mushrooms in the world of Valheim, and some bright caps seem to be poking through specific spots in Mjolnir’s handle. There are some glowing orange orbs near the bottom of the grip near the red flags hanging from the point of the resting enlarged weapon, and all the illuminating items ensure that the massive weapon is visible at night. OhhhBoyyyyy’s clip concludes with the player showing a small tool board with three hammers on it underneath the text that states, “hammer time!”
Given that Valheim takes place in Valhalla and focuses on a lot of Norse creatures and mythology, it makes sense that fans would wish to reflect Norse Gods, but OhhhBoyyyyy’s Thor’s Hammer is much larger than the biggest Ice Troll in Valheim. OhhhBoyyyyy’s version of Mjolnir was notably made in creative mode given the tools used to make it and OhhhBoyyyyy’s ability to float around the object at will, but the attention to detail in its design remains remarkable, and many Valheim players have expressed enthusiasm toward the idea. Some Valheim fans responded to OhhhBoyyyyy’s post by suggesting that they thought it was an official decor from the game, and others lamented that it isn’t an in-game monument.
Valheim is available now for PC.
